TAKE PILATES WITH YOU
Summer officially begins in just a few weeks.  Along with the change of season comes travel plans.  
 
Vacations, family in town, children home from school.  
 
While these are often events we look forward to, they also might take you away from your Pilates routine.  Know that we are flexible and do back bends to juggle the schedule to accommodate vacations.  But since we do not go on vacation with you.... let’s talk about how you can 
 
TAKE PILATES WITH YOU. 
Yes, a Pilates workout WILL FIT IN YOUR CARRY ON!

The wonderful Pilates mat is so portable.  You don’t need much other than yourself and a mat.   
 A Pilates mat needs to have the correct amount of density for rolling and supporting the spine.

With the mat, you need enough cushion to support your spine.  If you only have a yoga mat, ask for extra towels at your hotel and pad them under your mat (we do have mats available for sale at the studio).  You need to know your workout.  So prepare for that at your studio sessions.  Pick up our Practice Mat Guide (the best $10 you'll spend this Summer).  Be inventive....  you can do Pilates almost anywhere.  A client told me they did mat on their paddle board last week.  Others do Pilates mat on the beach or the workout room at the hotel.

 
OK HERE ARE SOME OPTIONS

 
Do your Pilates mat.  
Add standing arm weights after the mat (easy to pack 2 2lbs. hand weights)
Add magic circle BUY ONE FROM HERE
Purchase a practice mat guide at the studio so you remember your exercises and ask your teacher for a list of what you do to keep track.

 
And never, EVER, omit exercises!
EVER!

 
Then, take a photo of yourself doing Pilates off-site, email it to the studio and at the end of the summer we’ll choose a winner!  Know that photos will be used in social media but we do not need to include your name.  And the winning prize will be a one on one session!
